Job Descriptions

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the agency distribution channel to achieve business objectives, including sales growth, market expansion, and profitability.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of insurance agents. Provide ongoing coaching and support to help agents achieve their sales targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of agency distribution teams and individual agents. Implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners and stakeholders.
  • Set and monitor sales targets for the agency distribution channel. Develop incentive programs and sales campaigns to motivate agents and achieve targets.
  • Ensure that agents have a deep understanding of the insurance products and services offered by the company. Provide training and resources to keep agents updated on product changes and market trends.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive trends. Use data to make informed decisions regarding agency distribution strategies.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the agency distribution department, including expenses related to recruitment, training, and marketing initiatives.

Job Specification

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field is typically required. An MBA or advanced degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a proven track record of success in agency distribution or sales management roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, distribution channels, and sales techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with agency partners and internal stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge with insurance regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the jurisdiction in which the company operates.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales and distribution targets.
