Job Description
The Senior Associate / Associate – Business Operations (Chinese Speaking) supports efficient day-to-day business execution through cross-functional coordination, reporting, documentation, follow-up, and effective communication with Chinese-speaking suppliers, partners, and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate daily operational activities across relevant departments.
- Communicate professionally with Chinese-speaking suppliers, business partners, customers, and internal stakeholders through email, phone, messaging platforms, and meetings.
- Translate and interpret business correspondence, operational documents, product information, reports, and meeting discussions between Chinese and English/Myanmar language as required.
- Follow up on purchase orders, delivery schedules, inventory status, payments, operational requests, management decisions, and outstanding action items.
- Collect, compile, and maintain accurate operational data, reports, trackers, approvals, and supporting documents.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, dashboards, presentations, meeting minutes, and management updates.
- Monitor operational KPIs, sales performance, inventory availability, service levels, and other business-performance indicators.
- Identify discrepancies, delays, missing information, process gaps, or operational risks and raise them promptly with the relevant team or supervisor.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures, policies, and internal controls.
- Assist with business planning, budgeting, cost monitoring, operational projects, and process-improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate meetings with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, record key discussion points, and follow up on agreed actions.
- Maintain organized records of reports, correspondence, approvals, and operational documentation.
- Perform other business operations, coordination, translation, and administrative duties as assigned.
Senior Associate – Additional Responsibilities
- Review operational reports, trackers, translated documents, and supporting data for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Coordinate complex cross-functional activities and support resolution of issues involving Chinese-speaking suppliers, partners, or stakeholders.
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, cost inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare management summaries, presentations, and practical recommendations for operational decisions.
- Support implementation and monitoring of business projects, process improvements, and management priorities.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job support to junior team members when required.
- Escalate significant operational risks, delays, communication issues, or control gaps to management promptly.
Job Requirements
For Senior Associate
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain, International Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business operations, operations coordination, business analysis, project coordination, supply chain, or a related role.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, including speaking, reading, writing, and business correspondence.
- Good written and spoken English and Myanmar language skills.
- Experience communicating with Chinese suppliers, partners, customers, or management teams is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of business processes, operational reporting, KPI monitoring, and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP, reporting, or business-intelligence systems is preferred.
- High integrity, accountability, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
For Associate
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain, International Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business operations, administration, coordination, reporting, customer service, supply chain, or a related role; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered.
- Working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, including speaking, reading, writing, and business communication.
- Good written and spoken English and Myanmar language skills.
- Basic understanding of business operations, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
- Good numerical, analytical, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with ERP or reporting systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, accountability, and willingness to learn.
